These phone "deals" are getting ridiculous.

This is the price I'd expect for unlocked versions of these phones, without having to go through some carrier to unlock it after x days/months.

Then when you couple it with there being no guarantee it actually unlocks after the requisite period it makes this deal that much worse.

I've been with US Mobile for 2 years on their WARP starter plan and have had no complaints. I recently cracked the screen of my Pixel 7 Pro and they helped provided the documentation I needed for my phone's credit card insurance. Anyway, this will be a solid replacement and I get to keep my old phone. I usually try to spend less, but it'll do.

Those who got the P7P, you can trade it in for $425 on google. I don't see much of an improvement though.

These companies are playing games where if people stop participating in the bs, they will act right

I've had ATT, T-Mobile, straight talk, mint and US mobile. US mobile = Best value and service by FAR for my area (Dallas). Btw when they run deals on Black Friday, unlike most moronic companies that kick their loyal base in the teeth , USMobile deals don't exclude existing customers

I'm jumping ship from T-Mobile postpaid. I found US Mobile's plans to be great, but Google Fi is offering $300 off plus $500 credit over 2 years. That's a total of $800, which is hard to ignore.
By my calculation, Google Fi would be at least $1,000 cheaper when you include the total cost of four Pixel 10s (regular) and 2 years of service for 4 lines. I'm comparing Fi's Standard plan with USM's Flex.
I may reevaluate after two years — maybe switch to US Mobile with those Pixel 10s, or move to another carrier if there's a big phone discount. Am I missing anything?

So if I go for the $819 Pixel 10 Pro XL 256GB, i can buy the cheapest US Mobile plan, like the 500MB/month "low data plan" for $5, use that to activate the phone for 30 days, and then just leave it in a drawer for another 60 days until it auto unlocks?

They clarified that it is a 30 day unlock for the purchases without the annual plan. So just put a USM eSIM on it within 15 days of receiving it and leave it in a drawer for 30 days. I'm currently doing that with the $250 Pixel 9. $4.48/mo for 50 MB or 50 texts due to taxes and fees, seems like custom plans are the only ones where those are not included.

My only complaint is VVM doesn't work on pixels.
I have Dark Star and VVM works - just download the ATT VVM App and you should be good

I've decided to get an 256GB XL version directly through Google. It's $1,200 there, but they sent me a $100 coupon. Then I realized I could do a trade in there so I found a Pixel 7 Pro on eBay in good condition for about $180 total including taxes. That will actually give me a $425 trade-in credit towards the 256GB XL. So the grand total was:

$1,200 - $100 - $425 + $180 = $855 + taxes

That's more than this US Mobile price at $819 + taxes, but directly from Google you also get a $200 credit in the Google Store.

Anyway, this US Mobile deal at $819 + taxes is pretty good given that these were just released today, but if the $200 credit in the Google Store is of any value to you, you might try to hunt down a cheap trade-in on eBay or Swappa.

Tempting as I am planning to upgrade my Pixel 6 and ditching T-Mobile.
But when I was selecting a plan, there's "BUY ONE, GET ONE" on unlimited plan. What does that mean?
I'm on an email chain with support now about this. I just ported my numbers over a month ago. First I was told the BOGO only works with ported or new numbers. Then Im told the Pixel 10 deal only works for ported numbers. I sent a screenshot of the details because nowhere does it say that.

Yes, BOGO is only new to US Mobile numbers (well, has to have been off of USM for 15 days). The Pixel 10 deal, however, can be for either. They've said in a couple places you can just move your existing line over to it: 1 [reddit.com] 2 [reddit.com]

Tempting, but I'm delusionally crossing my fingers for deals like we saw this time last year:
- JULY: Pixel 8 for net $125 (after Best Buy $615 credit for iPhone 11 trade-in that cost only $75 at Metro w/30-day plan); turned around and sold unopened Pixel 8 on Swappa for $370
- AUGUST: Pixel 9 for net $150 (after Best Buy $799 credit + $100 gift card for iPhone 12 trade-in that cost only $185 at Metro w/30-day plan)
- SEPT & OCT: $715 Google Store credit ($225 trade-in for my Pixel 6A, plus $490 trade-in for a Pixel 8 that I picked up in FB Marketplace for $80)

I love my Pixel 9...especially at the price above...but I still regret not snagging the Pro XL version. So unless I'm overlooking something...or Best Buy offers another amazing trade-in deal...I'll likely use my existing Google Store credit to get the 10 Pro XL for about $485 +tax, and bank $600 credit for next time around ($400 for the 9 trade-in, plus the $200 promotional credit for the Pro XL).

Technically, BB's current matching offer is better since the $400 trade-in is redeemable right away, and their $200 gift cards are easier to use/liquidate compared to Google Store credit, but there's no sense in letting a $700+ credit collect dust for another year...maybe it's time to consider a Pixel Watch 4 LTE to go with the 10.
