Exactly!

This is the kind of phone you purchase, activate, and throw in the center console or glove box in case you ever have an emergency. And then you give it to your kid to use at home or in the car or plane for games, movies, reading or whatever.
Or it can be the at-home device for family members to use as a TV remote, control your smart devices, air conditioning and whatever.

So many vast uses for a phone like this.

It's a no-brainer at $40, tax included!

Just my $0.02. To each their own!

Its pathetic when one person likes to thread crap without providing any competing better offers. And that is simply because there are no viable alternatives in this price range for phone plus service. Trac has been my go to for all four kids for years. The great thing about these plans if you can keep stacking service plans, so need twice as much time is as easy as buying the next tracfone deal or buying two of these and combining the plans.

will this work on international carrier after 60 days ?? unlock in US and use in other country??
It works with international sim in the US after unlocking. I haven't tried it outsiide of the US, though I don't see any reason why it wouldn't.
Thankyou

After the phone has been unlocked, it should work in the following countries (courtesy of Google Gemini [google.com] for free):

Based on my research, here is a report detailing the cellular bands of the Moto G XT2513v 5G and the countries where it would be compatible.

Moto G XT2513v 5G Cellular Bands

2G GSM: 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz

3G UMTS/HSPA+: 850, 900, 1700 (AWS), 1900, 2100 MHz

4G LTE: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 20, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, 38, 39, 40, 41, 48, 66, 71

5G NR: n2, n5, n7, n12, n14, n25, n26, n29, n30, n41, n48, n66, n70, n71, n77, n78

Countries Where This Phone Would Work

The Moto G XT2513v 5G supports a broad range of cellular bands, making it compatible with many networks across the globe. It is particularly well-suited for use in North America due to its support for key bands used by major carriers in the United States and Canada.

This phone would work in the following countries, based on its supported bands:

United States: The phone supports all major bands for 4G and 5G in the US, including those used by AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and their MVNOs. This includes critical bands like 4G LTE bands 2, 4, 5, 12, 14, 17, 29, 30, 66, and 71, and 5G bands n2, n5, n12, n14, n29, n30, n41, n66, n71, and n77.

Canada: The phone's support for bands like 4G LTE bands 4, 7, and 66, and 5G bands n41, n66, n71, and n78 make it highly compatible with Canadian networks.

Mexico: It supports key 4G LTE and 5G bands used in Mexico, such as LTE bands 2, 4, 5, 7, and 5G band n78.

Europe: With support for common European bands such as 4G LTE bands 1, 3, 7, 20, 28, and 38, and 5G band n78, the phone would function well in many European countries, including but not limited to the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain.

Australia: The phone is compatible with key Australian networks due to its support for 4G LTE bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 28, and 40, and 5G bands n40 and n78.

Asia: It would be compatible with networks in countries like India, Singapore, Malaysia, and others that use bands such as 4G LTE bands 1, 3, 5, 8, 40, and 41, and 5G bands n41 and n78.

This is not an exhaustive list of all compatible countries, but rather a representation of major regions where the phone's extensive band support would allow it to function properly.
Thankyou so much..

Just FYI the latest Android updates choke this phone out a lot, it also has a ton of bloat ware. If you are handy with Android you can bring it back to usable. We're talking about waiting 2-3 seconds jumping from Gmail to Chrome. There are literally dozens of bloated apps that need to be disabled. Also to use the native Android messaging app, you need to login to a Google account.

That aside, camera is good enough, battery life is amazing.
I would probably recommend to uninstall/disable most of the bloat ware. Also I would recommend to toss in like at least a 32 GB SD card. That way you could put the pictures you take or anything else like a video or even apps on the SD card. Then up the ram to the 8gb additional virtual RAM. That should make it decently usable.

Virtual RAM is bad -- it will kill the lifespan of the phone's built-in eMMC memory (and it's slow, anyway). See What is virtual RAM, and should you use it? [androidcentral.com]

Heads up folks -- this 1500 plan is 1500 minutes/texts/mb of data for the entire year. It doesn't renew each month. This works out to be roughly 4 mins/texts/mb of data per day.

I wonder how many websites you can view with 4mb each day? Hmm.
Unlimited if you're on Wi-Fi!

QVC is the worst in terms of shipping. Going on almost a week since the order was placed and it's still "In process" and has not shipped according to CS. Do they actually take two weeks to ship things out? Sheesh.

if I need a new phone number how would that work? would this eventually unlock to use with tmobile?
It automatically unlocks after 60 days. It's Federal law now. I don't even activate mine, just swap my existing sim. If you need a new number, just activate the phone through the carrier and they ask if you want to port an old number or need a new one.
Please explain the "I don't even activate mine, just swap my existing sim." ? I thought SIM swap was not allowed by TF, service is tied to phone's IMEI?

Login to your TracFone account online and make sure you have LineLock disabled, then when you activate the phone from this deal on the TracFone website select 'keep my number', enter your existing number and it'll transfer over to the new phone. Depending on if your existing line is a Pay as You go or a Monthly/Yearly Unlimited plan then it will either combine the balances or postpone the included 1500/1500 bundled plan's start until the unlimited plan ends. One hurdle you will have to figure out, with having a broken screen, is how to receive the One Time Password text to your existing line in order to confirm you are the owner of the phone, you'll have to see if you can have it sent to the eMail registered to the account through the help of support.
Same situation but my plan from last year just expired, any chance I can port that number to this new phone/plan

Avoid them at all costs, they can't be trusted... Turned off my mother's prepaid service, stole her number and refused to refund what the took.

I didn't activate the new sim that came with the phone, I just took my existing sim from another phone and inserted in the new phone and booted it up. I have two of these 1 year service sims that I never bothered to activate and one more phone I haven't even turned on yet. They make great backups.
