6 months felt like a long time to wait when I grabbed my Metro Galaxy S21FE so I'd definitely never do a year.

Total has this phone for $49.99 and has the 60 day unlock. They also have the 2024 model for free with port in and some review sites say the 2024 is preferred over the 2025. If you don't want to pay the $60 for the second month, get with chat and ask them to apply their $10. month talk and text plan. This Metro deal makes no sense to me since a 1 year wait. Cricket also has this 2025 Stylus at $19.99 with port in and a 6 month unlock. Drop down to their $30 plan to save. Motorola direct has the 2024 Stylus for $249. fully unlocked and they do take trade in's.

I've either of these two in mind for the case for Moto Stylus 2025

1. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...3XITM&th=1
Benefit is when you put the phone down, it stays straight and no uneven when camera is face down
  1. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...V1WX7&th=1
Good case but just uneven when you put camera face down...

I always put all my phones screen display face down so the camera bump wouldn't effect me laying it down. I put phone face down in case if something were to drop on to the phone, it would hit the back of the phone rather than the glass. Even with my Motorola G Stylus 2022 with the slim carbon fiber case and tempered glass, I can still lay it perfectly face down and the display won't scratch and won't touch the table. As long as it has a good size lip on the case, the screen is protected perfectly fine putting the phone face down. I used to have Spigen dual layer protective case with my older Motorola phone but the hard PC broke a little piece off and then the case can't be put together again. Useless case without the hard PC part as the dual layer turned into just 1 layer. I always thought it was too bulky and heavy so I always switched to the Spigen thin compact cases ever since Motorola Z2 Force. Heavy duty cases didn't feel as comfortable as the single layer slimmer cases to me and the slim cases provide plenty of protection for me. I really don't drop my phone that much so heavy duty cases aren't for me.

UPS left me a notice. Looks like you need to sign for this package. Lets see what they will do tomorrow.

UPS left the package at the door. The UPS driver in the area does that even for laptop delivery (scary and convenient at the same time if you are home waiting for it).

No, thank you, but I got a few from earlier deals; otherwise, not a bad price if you need one.

so 13 pages and no one's gotten this phone yet to test if it being locked to metro would still work with a postpaid T-Mobile sim in it?

I would rather they leave it at the door for this phone but I imagine they don't know this is a USD 65 phone not a USD 2000 phone.

even if I had the phone, I don't have a postpaid SIM to test it with. To be frank, if I had postpaid service kind of money, I wouldn't buy this cheap phone :yay:

UPS delivered my phone today. didn't need to sign. the phone is a lot smoother and snappier than my Samsung A35. I disabled RAM boost out of the box. Sound sucks out of the box. no magsafe. Multitasking isn't as robust. On my Samsung I can launch a split screen from a PiP, or select a new app to launch in split screen. On the moto I need to have the app launched before I can split screen it. anyone know of a way to make multitasking more like how Samsung does it?

overall I'm impressed with the usability of this phone compared to the A35. the stylus makes it feel like a palm pilot.

found this reddit post to improve the speaker sound, in the Dolby Atmos app select music profile, set Brilliant Treble, Surround virtualizer off, Volume Leveler on

its a universal change that messes with Bluetooth audio. Motorola really messed up the sound on this. shame. I can't believe the Atmos app uses a AI generated image of a guy in a wheelchair 😂

I got my phone today and activated it. I checked the unlock and it says 180 days. Could that be true or do you still have to wait the 365 days you think ?

If you want the $20 A9+ tablet then don't activate the phone yet. You'll have more time to wait for the price drop.

How are you checking the unlock status?

When I go to Settings > About phone > Device details > Network Lock, it says the status is Locked with the following details:

Quote :
Your device is locked and can only be used with Metro SIM and network at this time

You have not yet met the following requirements to fully unlock your device:

Device must be used on this phone number for 180 days.
But I think the statement "Device must be used on this phone number for 180 days." is inaccurate. The unlock requirement should really be waiting 365 days after activation.

But the longer one delays activating, the longer it will take to unlock the phone since it requires waiting 365 days after activation.

I am hoping that the free tablet becomes available again in the month for me to order one as I just activated this phone.
