What planet do you live on? The Edwards LPC is NOT the same quality as any Epiphone LOL Perhaps you're thinking of the Grassroots? An Edwards LPC is at a minimum, the same level as a Gibson LP Studio, but for 1/2 the price. As someone that owns two Edwards LPC's and a Gibson AJ model, I'd put the LPC's up against ANY low-mid level Gibson any day of the week. And I paid under $1K for each.
I thinking more in line with the Japanese made Epiphones. I wish got the Tak Matsumoto copy years ago.Edwards are a good deal. Seymour Duncan pickups and a fairly chunky neck, long tenon. got a goldtop probably around 2006.

I wish I never sold mine...

Same. Had a '74 Custom. Instead of selling it, I should've had it refretted and changed whatever aftermarket high output pickups a previous owner installed to something more PAF.

It's a great price if you have become indoctrinated into all things Gibson and actually think their poorly designed Les Paul is worth that kind of money relative to other guitars.
Spoiler alert: They aren't. Years of upping the price by 30% without giving us anything new has made these things ludicrously overpriced such that when one goes on sale it is a OMG moment for some of you.
That they are doing the same thing to their Chinese Epiphones and getting away with it says a lot about Gibson and Epiphone fans and what easy marks they are. I mean the fact that some Epiphones are now $1500 actually makes some of you believe that this Gibson must be a bargain at only $500 more! 🤣
meanwhile, thousands of professional musicians playing non-custom shop model Gibsons shake their head at the amateur cork sniffers sitting in their bedrooms bloviating about gear and their opinions of it. But do go on...

Down payment on a PRS 10 top similar body shape.

Never liked LP's except when Jimmy Page played.

OK price. Was able to grab several in 2024 for $1899 brand new including this sparkling burgundy, from an authorized dealer, shipped to CA, no sales tax. It would be technically around $2200 for this one shipped to CA. $300 more.

Well, you can shout at the rain and say whatever you want about Lester and Epiphone or Edwards or .. any other poser brands .. just go nuts. Here's the hard data and cold facts: What's it say on the end of the neck? What's it say in the wiring harness .. how about the back of the pickups?I just sold my 1984 Gibson Flying V Custom Designer Series for THIRTY-SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS at auction. Didn't mean it that way. Enjoyed it for nearly 40 years. It's just at the end of the day, the Lester and Epiphone and Edwards and B.C Rich and PRS and LTD and all of the above (minus Fender) .. 15 years from now you got a guitar worth $150.00 at a garage sale. But, the upside is: if you have a family emergency and need quick cash, the pawn shop will give you $75.00 immediately. Those are just stone cold dead dog data stats and facts.Core-Base-Root Truth.. but please .. continue to shout at the rain. I find it amusing myself ..
True. Gibson guitars generally keep their values much better than any other brands. I've never sold a used Gibson below what I paid for when it was brand new.
