When you say UA credits are these United Airlines credits? Any chance someone knows how to take full advantage of this $200 by purchasing miles?

Yes, UA-- you're buying travel bank credit with the $200, not miles.

The travel bank $ can be used to buy tickets (or pay for incidentals I guess) but not buy miles.

I usually use the TB cash for positioning flights for point bought premium flights overseas if needed, or other domestic coach travel where it's not worth using good points.

Gotta love that they pulled all the Gen 3 from the website so the credit can't be used, but they still have them up on Amazon.

Buy the $200 version the first year for free, then each year buy another "free' one and resell it on facebook marketplace for half price- which is more than that years subscription costs

That said, I'd expect most Plat. card holders already have some kinda fitness tracker via phone/watch, so I agree it's a pretty trash credit.

The Resy credit is the superstar of this refresh for most folks, though some will get -some- value out of the U1, Lululemon, and increased hotel credits.
The $200 v3 ring is now sold out and the cheapest v4 is $350.

I had to try about 10 times over 2 days. Tired incognito and 2 browsers and on/off WiFi. Alternated between Wife and my info. Eventually I got it to show up. Most of the time it was 100k. Saw 125k twice. Never 150k and I was about to settle for that. Finally saw 175k.
In short, keep trying
My gf has amex gold and added me as an AU. We both are getting offers for 50k for $8000 over 6 months. I wonder if that has anything to do with the offers being ridiculously low. We are both FICO 800+

I would say it's one of the factors as well as how much spend you have on existing cards, friend of mine with just the amex everyday cash card for groceries saw the 175k offers in their account.

I have the amex gold and every cash, don't spend alot and the pub offer is 50k. Incognito gives me 80k.
When I first applied for the gold 2 years, amex sent me an offer for 100k+ after a couple days but I didn't apply at the time. Seems like they only give the high offers to new people and ones that have potential to spend a lot and be profitable for them which make sense.

I'll try again next year, no rush to apply now since the fee went up.

'New' benefits are just illusions. Not one worthwhile Resy restaurant within 25 miles. Hotel credit is for reservations booked through AMEX portals which are much more expensive than what you can do yourself. Uber and digital subscription credits arethe same as what they have been offering for years.
YMMV. Over a dozen excellent RESY options near me, and just saved over $900 on a 4 night Maui hotel reservation by booking through AMEX vs next lowest price for same property.

Does buying travel bank still work? I thought they killed that a while ago. Would be great to make some type of use out of the travel credits.

That's a crap offer. I have a Gold and got 50k offer to upgrade to Platinum and $2k spend.

And as a side question, does anyone know if the Platinum fee itself counts towards the min spend amount?

I think most of the benefits are good but the only one I don't get is the $200 Oura ring hardware credit... if it could be used for the monthly subscriptions, I'd consider it worthwhile but I don't see how I'd use $200 credit on Oura hardware every year.

Was still working as of a couple months ago when I got my second Aspire card (same type of incidentals airline credit as plat- for which I used it for TB both last year and early this year).

Which itself is a crap offer compared to a new SUB on the Plat (but if you're in lifetime language jail for platinum it's pretty decent)

AF never counts toward required spend.

sorry for late reply. Was using a device I wasn't logged in.

I would say it's random. I tried so many times on my account that I got the rejection letter for too many inquiries and got declined. I think those last for a month? My wife barely uses her cards because the main spenders are on my name… Bilt, sapphire and random 1 card for xyz reason. She's in the low 800s and I am in the upper 700s. I remember reading Amex looks at the whole profile so maybe age of credits, type of credits play a factor.

She did have the Amex everyday card (translucent card?) and I had the Amex gold card like almost 10 years ago. That probably doesn't matter but just throwing it out there.

I have the Amex Everyday since 2018 that I don't use much. My income is alot higher since then. I assume I'm probably the customer they would target with a 175k offer.
Maybe it was a mistake for my gf to add me as AU. It's her main credit card now for groceries and dining. They seem to target those that rarely use their products?
Either way, I only see 80k in the ads. All the other ones require you apply first.
Im holding out for at least 125k.

I login to my AMEX account and only see 80K points for Platinum. Any other way to get link for 175k guaranteed bonus? I have 800+ credit score.

My offers were 60k went to 80k then read an article saying their new annual fee increase/remake went way above expectations in new applications. Now its locked dead to 50k pts
