To the contrary, it finished quite well, in fourth place overall, -- reason being that it did not do well on MDF.
I have this tool for breaking down cardboard boxes and it performs great, only struggling when dealing with really thick board.

If you happen to have a lot of cardboard to cut and you have an oscillating multi-tool, you can pick up a knife blade attachment. It'll cut cardboard like butter.

Agreed. Got it from eBay deal last time. Easier to tear with hands lol
Maybe you're not holding it right or something, I can cut hundreds of feet of cardboard in a short period with this, and much easier than with a knife.

Correct, it would be silly to expect to cut MDF with this, but it saves a lot of work of you specifically cut cardboard a lot.

I got this when it was on sale at Lowe's last month or two months ago and I love it. Once you get used to the positioning it's incredibly easy.

I have the white/green version. Not sure the difference, but mine has a lithium battery.

Anyways, this is the best for wrapping gifts. It make short work of long straight cuts, and doesn't tear the paper at all. I'd buy these for that purpose alone.

I've used mine weekly for a year to cut up mid-duty cardboard boxes, mostly from Amazon and PetCo. It works great for that. If your expecting to use this for anything much thicker then that, It's not the right tool for the job. I wish it was type C charging, but the barrel plug hasn't worn out.

I agree. It works like a pizza cutter, but you still need to push the blades forward. Thicker cardboards needs to be pushed harder. Regular box cutters are still faster, but I prefer this over scissors.

I came here to say this, though I was going to add it was the 4th place finisher out of 16 on his list.
In his words, "The Worx zip snip is a great tool for most things, but it's definitely underpowered for MDF."

9.99 and it's a deal.
It cuts OK if you with the cardboard corrugation otherwise it's pain and struggles even for basic Amazon cardboard boxes. It's not worth the hassle to pick up and hold the cardboard tight grip so maybe it will cut the carton.. Blade would be much faster, just not strong, sharp, or fast enough.
Yes works for plastic packaging that we don't need every time. Better than scissors for those silly dangerous plastic shell case packaging.

Own one. I'm unimpressed with the cutting speed on boxes but otherwise have no objections. A utility knife can be faster if the work space is easy, this wins when it is not.

My elderly Mom loves it. She cannot safely use an utility knife. She WANTS to cut boxes with it.
