Used motor oil should work fine

The other one posted here (Tietoc) is a better deal. I used it to cut down an overgrown pine bush that had a few 3 in. and several 1-2 in. brances. The saw went through them all like a knife through butter, though I had to keep pressing the oil button between cuts, and had to recharge the battery a couple of times. With the very thick branches, the chain also slipped off a couple of times but it is not difficult to put it back on. A very handy tool compared to the bulky one I had for years. For $20, it was a great buy!

Can someone recommend an auto-lubed version? The same critiques pop up on these and theyve been so consistently posted.

Chain oil is greasier and sticks to both chain and bar, which makes the chain go around more smoothly. However, any oil is good enough.

Would anyone here getting this deal or got this one in the past post two photos:

1. Picture of the base of the tool that goes on the battery and/or top plate of the battery - trying to figure out if it's Makita compatible
2. Picture of the saw with the cover off - trying to figure out how it holds the bar in place and if the tensioner is in the cover or in the tool mold

I don't believe this is brushless - do you have this yourself?

3. What kind of pruning blades are your favorite and
4. why is it valuable to work with one hand? Are you holding something else with your other hand?
5. If you were free to use both hands, would you prefer the Sawzall or this mini chainsaw?
Ordered this today and will find out for myself

Disappointment. I won't recommend anyone buy this when the other two toy chainsaws in the same sub $20 price range are on sale frequently.

First, this isn't brushless at all like the manufacturer claims it to be!

I was suspicious at the very start because it says so only on one picture out of the many and nowhere else - pictures or text. A manufacturer would blast the word "brushless" everywhere especially at this price if it had been the case.

Second, it fails to use the common, widely available 18v Makita compatible battery layout.

Don't buy cheap tools that don't follow the common, widely available 18v Makita compatible battery layout because at this price point, the battery will fail first and then you will have to either throw away the tool or look around for some random, custom battery (their internals are all exactly the same - it's just the external case that's different)

Consider one of the other two especially the one for a couple dollars more that comes with two batteries that do follow the common, widely available 18v Makita compatible battery layout.

Just skip this!
