Is this only good for an accent light or is it bright enough to light up a room?

i have 2 of them i use in conjunction with govee tv 3 lite, the lamp itself is 1000 lumens, so its equalivant or slighly less than a 70ish/75 watt light bulb. 60 watt is around 800lumens. it can put off a bit of light, but since its meant more as bounce/reflective light, it loses some brightness and may not spread out as much across a room as a equal over head light would. probably best as additional light for the room and a great accent light. its also fun because of the settings the lamp can do with all the colors and length to play with.

i know it's almost twice the price but i would say it's worth it to upgrade to lamp 2 or at least a lyra. lamp 2 is way brighter and has more premium quality material. i hate the govee logo at the base of the lamp 2 but you can always place something in front of it to cover it:

still a decent deal if you do decide to stick with the basic one, they're cheaper on govee directly if you don't mind waiting for loner shipment date.
