To calibrate a Ryobi inflator, hold the + and - buttons at the same time while the inflator is off and not connected to a tire until the display shows all zeros, or for some models, hold the Power and Start buttons for a few seconds to "tare" the pressure. This process resets the zero point of the gauge and is especially useful if the inflator is showing a pressure reading while not in use. Little trick for this unit

The only problem I have with that one is it loves to jump-scare because the trigger is super sensitive. You look at it wrong and it kicks on and barks for a second.

weird. they must have updated it. i bought it last year and i can set the psi to 37 (what i keep for my car).

I have 3 different Ryobi inflators. If you already have the batteries, this is a no-brainer.
All of their built-in gauges are trash, imo. Some read lower, some higher. Get a couple of well-built reliable gauges and you'll be all set.

t's not as powerful but it charges via usb and comes with a small battery. Looks like it struggles to fill car tires though.
I use that one I keep in my kids gym bag. It will do it, but it struggles just getting a mountain bike tire up to 40lbs and it eats most of the charge. I can't imagine what a car tire would do to it. Really anything over 20psi and its taxed.

Awesome and great form factor though for inflating balls, small pool stuff, etc.

got two for the same price last year for the cars. Worked really well, love you can set the target psi. I also use them on basketball, soccer and etc.

I used to have a pool - and always used it for the pool inflatable stuff, was definitely useful.

That being said, I'm sitting this one out. I already have a non-battery one in my car, and a small tiny one the kids use for balls and stuff. having a 3rd is just not needed. lol.

This is my exact experience as well. It works good, but gets hot quickly. Also, you have to hold down for low PSI. I would still recommend if in the ecosystem though.
