I work in mountainous areas without cell reception and mine keeps me online (if I want to be). Same on road trips. Texting, wifi-calling, whatever. My latency is typically in the mid-20s, but I have seen it in the high teens on occasion. Speeds are anywhere from 30-200Mbps, but I also don't always have it aligned as I carry it in my vehicles. Fast enough for anything I'm doing, though. I've ben impressed with it working during storms, too. Obviously slower, but still.
I wish it had come with either a Type-C port for power input, or the cable. I did have to buy that separately and the official cable was about 45 bucks, but it is pretty long (15M?). I did have it running from AC power on my power station at first, but it wasn't as efficient.
Also, I paid the original price, wish I had waited. I just needed it.

all of the cruise carriers have now started putting in the contract that these are not allowed on board and will be confiscated if found in luggage.
A better option is a 'sim at sea' e-sim plan for your phone.
I live in a somewhat rural area so had been thinking about getting this to activate Roam w/standby just when I need it, but apparently they don't want my business.
