PRO TIP:
the door on this has a super strong aggressive seal when you close it, which it great but the average person who pulls on the door will either tip it over or struggle to open it.

Open it by the seal instead of the door. Wrap your hand ✋ up at the top grab a little bit of the white seal and pull gently and it opens with ease.

I'm thinking I should just remove my fridge entirely and replace it with this freezer. Are there any downsides to this?

This is smaller than a full sized fridge. Most fridges have 15-20 cubic feet for the bottom fridge alone. This is 6.5 cubic feet. So this is a supplimental unit, not a replacement.

Well I need to eat less anyway so maybe that works good for me. Bought it, thanks.

If you are in the mood to empty this thing out every month to chisel ice out - then go for it - otherwise - stay away, complete rubbish.

2 questions:
1- How much is the electrical consumption of this?
2- Where does this stand when compared with Costco's 11-foot Hamilton Beach UF? Twice as big, about $300

To me that's a good thing in this case because the shelves are the refrigerant grids, cools down extremely fast. We've had this one for about a year. It hit 0˚ in less than 2 hours and it's not frost free so food keeps longer.

Only time I've noticed being really really hard to open is if you open back up right after closing it. I put my thumb against the freezer case and open the door with my other 4 fingers. It does seal really good. We've had it for about a year and really like. It sits beside our 7cu.ft. chest type that we let food get old in because it goes to the bottom and we forget about it.

I had this delivered twice and each time it was dented. They ship via FedEx. Do not recommend.

Be careful buying from Walmart. They delivered my freezer and air unpacked it to find the plastic interior cracked. Called them and got some nice people in the Philippines but all they could do is take my concern and "forward it" to the proper department. 3 days later they tell me no refund because apparently they have a 2 day return policy for "major appliances" and I was supposed to figure out how to take the 120lb freezer into the store for a full refund. Now I have to file a chargeback with my credit card company.

None if you enjoy drinking ice
