Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

For those of us who did multiple transactions before the terms changed, has anyone's points cleared the $250 limit yet? The email said that all previous transactions would be honored, but haven't seen movement on the rest of them yet. I did get the initial $250 to my account, but the rest is still pending, including some from the same day.
What they said is that your previous purchases would be honored at the **original terms**.

It would seem that Mr ChatGpt was quite wrong about insisting that this promotion had a per transaction limit and not a overall per individual account limit like many of us believed.

It's not over till it's over but you're probably only getting $250 and not a penny more.

From the email:
"Thank you for being a part of our limited-time Buy Now Pay Later holiday promotion. We're so happy you've been able to take advantage of it. You've reached the limit on this offer given our new terms, which can be found here.

Any eligible PayPal Pay Later transactions you made before today will receive the benefit of the original offer terms. You can check the status of any pending points in the rewards hub of the PayPal app."

The original terms clearly stated per transaction. And indeed, I still have a large amount of purchases showing pending with 20% reward amounts.

I made 2 transactions using PayPal account with this 20% cashback offer.
1. Bestbuy - item estimated to be shipped on December 15th - received 250$ cashback credited.

2.Samsung - item received - cashback still shows pending.

I wasn't expecting to receive points on bestbuy yet. But it came out first.

I don't think I would see the points from Samsung anymore. Does anyone know if making returns would complicate this PayPal 4 installments? I plan to send out the Samsung device if I don't receive the cashback

Is it just 20% in points to spend later on something else or 20% cash which can be withdrawn as cash?
1. You can use your balance to send money to family and friends or to shop online.
2. You can transfer funds from your PayPal account to a linked bank account.
3. You can request a check to be mailed to your address.

Has anyone who got locked out of the "Pay In 4" option due to pending authorizations, and then subsequently been able to have a PayPal CSR remove those pending authorizations, been able to have their account refreshed and have the "Pay In 4" option show back up again?

Count me in to the group who had them removed by the CSR, but I'm wondering if that ever leads to having the option show back up again... especially as I'm trying to purchase a limited-time laptop deal, and this deal itself only lasts for 2.5 more days.

Thanks in advance!

I have used the pay with 4 once early on...is there a way to know that I will get the 20% off again before trying a second time? Or is the only way to know to order something and see if pending points show up? If I then cancel/return the order, the authorization will just drop off? I still see the offer (on browser only) but my other purchase points shows "20% cash back on one Pay Later purchase with PayPal"

It happened to me the same way and had the CSR remove two failed pending charges. 16 hours until Pay in 4 came back.
For now, I don't see any option either pay in 4 or pay monthly. Hopefully it will come back before Tuesday. Thanks.

You must have used the max allowed of 3 different denominations, right?
