WD direct online store just made their price 270 this morning as well. They went early with their BF pricing. If you order directly from WesterDigital - they give you an extra 1 year of warranty, making it a full 3 year warranty. Buying from Amazon will only give you a 2 year warranty. There is also a CB site that offers a 5 percent cash back rate at WD too.

Ha! Looks like I got the same one in July 2024 for $277. I haven't shucked it yet but I believe it is shuckable for whenever one day I inevitably finally buy a NAS ...
