I'm hoping in vain that Best buy does a non-pro membership Black Friday deal as I am not going to shuck the drive and the easystore drives are both faster (debated) and able to turn off power save (windows wd tools) while maintaining external status (shucking wise there's no difference in the real world)

IDK if these come down to $199 - between high production costs and modest demand I don't see a lot of price pressure - I hope I'm wrong.

I think this poster is referring to last year's deal, where this hit $199, sold out nearly instantly, and then reupped the price. I'm hoping that deal is replicated, too tbh. Otherwise Imma just wait until the cost per GB drops.

Paid $75 for 14TB, bought two from serverpartdeals, 3 months back. I can't justify paying $270 for $20TB but if it goes down to $199 like some are saying, then it's a good deal.
