Eligibility and Enrollment
Enrollment is limited. Eligible Card Members must first add offer to Card and then use the same Card to pay using Tap to Pay with Google Pay for qualifying spend. Only US-issued American Express® Cards are eligible.
Limit of 1 statement credit per eligible Card Member account. If the Card Account is canceled or past due, it may not qualify to receive the statement credit(s).
Qualifying Purchases
Offer valid only for contactless tap-to-pay purchases made in-person using Google Pay on an Android™ device with your enrolled Card. You must first add your enrolled American Express Card to the Google Wallet app on a compatible Android device in order to qualify.
Not valid on purchases made directly with your Card without using Google Pay. Payments made with Chrome Autofill or Virtual Card Numbers (VCNs) are not eligible.
Online transactions using Google Pay on an Android device may qualify if the enrolled Card is added to Google Wallet on that same device.
Online transactions branded as "Google Pay" made on non-Android devices or where the Card has not been added to Google Wallet will not qualify.
Qualifying purchases include purchases of goods and services minus returns and credits.
The following do not qualify: fees, interest, traveler's checks, balance transfers, cash advances, prepaid cards, gift cards, person-to-person payments, foreign currency fees, or other cash equivalents.
Offer valid only on purchases made in US dollars.
Statement Credit
Please allow 90 days after 12/31/2025 for the statement credit to post, provided American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase.
