I was able to get a Red Pocket e-SIM number for $7.78 and successfully ported it in to Metro. Plus Metro total of $165.24. All in with eSIM port-in and Metro is $173.02. Now we wait for it to unlock lol

Phone unlocking in one year is a deal-breaker.

The transfer process happens after you check out, when you enter your credit card number and click "Pay". But this is just a pre-transfer. Your number will actually be transferred to Metro after you receive the phone and activate service.
This pretranfered from us mobile ended with removing my paid line from my account. As it happened with me the second time (first was while transeferibg to visible) i managed CS to resolve it faster, but anyway they put line to inactive status showing in my dashboard and that if i want to use i need pay again. And this happens afte pretransfer before metro confirm the order is placed. Just be carefull where you port in phone numbers for this not to happen during port out

Can you clarify at what stage your issue happens? Is it before you place your order or after you receive the device and start the activation process?

Does anyone know is it make sense to try buy iphone 13 from the same account after i've already got 2 16e. Or I'll just through away money for buying one more number to port in.

You will lose your #. During check out, Metro initiate the port in, but the transaction will not go through (because of the quantity restrictions).

In my case i have my main phone on visible so yes i cant save 20$ on that line like before, but i still do get 20$off for my next month payment for a referal which makes this number free.
That's even better!

Question: For Total Wireless phone deals you generally need to be a "new" customer.. I'm wondering for the Metro by T-Mobile deals.. anyone can share whether you need to be a "new" customer? or I can buy 1x iphone 16e port-in deal, 1x samsung s25fe port-in deal, and 1x motorola edge25 port-in deal as an "existing" customer? i wouldn't mind picking up all three for a low price.. but dunno if it's only for new customers or what like Total Wireless is..

Not any more, it was possible more than one year ago.
No, a phone locked to Metro by T-Mobile cannot be used on the T-Mobile network until it is unlocked Metro locks devices for 365 days after activation, and a phone must be fully paid off and meet other requirements before Metro will unlock it.
Thanks. That is good info. I was considering it to use on US Mobile, but I will skip as I won't be able to use it for one year.

Ahhhh...this deal is back. Got one during the last deal where no verification was required. They probably caught on and instituted it since many people hoarded it. After one month of service, just let it sit in your drawer (or use it as a webcam, portable gaming, music, etc) and then it unlocks after one year. Enjoy!

Where can I find a number to port in? I have a Ooma number. Can I port that in to take advantage of this offer?

Buy and use for 1 month then keep it in closet, wait for unlock.

Thanks for your sharing. I managed to transfer to Metro by using number from another carrier. I think my issue come from Red Pocket, I won't use their service again.
Which carrier did you use then?
