180 (before fees and taxes) *12 = 2160 for one year
Now, 2160 * 4 = 8640
Over 4 years, without taxes and fees, it is 8640.
Add state and other junk taxes to the total, it is a cool $10k over 3 years you have coughed out as a family 😆😆😆

It's always the larger picture that users do not take into account or aren't allowed to, when they dangle the shiny phones in front of you.

Even worse than that? When you "upgrade" every year or are given a 'deal' to stay with them after a year. That's how they become $$$$$ dollar companies. You become a perennial cash cow for these providers. They depend on your "it's too much to switch" or "they're good to me".

Your best bet is to stick to anything without contract or long term pricing. Yes, upfront it hurts, but the installment black hole will wring you dry. Doesn't matter who you go with.

2160 * 3 = 6480 for 3 years of service. But 4 new phones 1200 * 4 = 4800 already + bonus $200 gc

So $6480 / 4 = $1,620.00, subtract the $1200 value of the phone and you just got 3 years service for $420... $140 / year... $11.66 / month for unlimited. Plus fees sure but I don't see the downside here.

Is this able to be replicated still? I'm seeing $4.99/mo for the 17 Pro Max (256gb) if selecting Unlimited Plus. That'd be an extra $20/monthly for my four lines.
Thanks, all.
me too - why is this? I added all 4 phones at once, not one at a time - is that why?

I travel a ton, especially to rural areas and Verizon can't be beat. I tried Spectrum last year for about 4 months and it wasn't worth it. Good service in rural areas but go to a concert, sporting event, airport, or city center and it becomes nearly useless. I don't love Verizon prices or customer support but their service is the best.
A year ago I'd have agreed with you but after TMobile bought USCellular their rural Midwest coverage is flawless now.

The only place AT&T / Verizon are better is in the desert states since sometimes they have custom agreements with Native American tribal properties.

Bad Service:

I placed my order on Sunday the 7th, and it was supposed to be delivered on Tuesday the 9th. Three of the phones arrived on Tuesday with no issues, but the fourth one was missing. I called Verizon and was told the fourth phone had been shipped separately and would arrive on Wednesday. (which I had no knowledge of, no tracking, no email notification, nothing)

According to FedEx tracking, the fourth phone was delayed to Wednesday due to an "insufficient address." Then it was delayed again to Thursday, and this morning it was delayed yet again to Friday the 12th. I called FedEx this morning (Thursday the 11th), and they told me I cannot pick it up in person because of the address issue and that there was nothing they could do, they said I needed to contact Verizon.

I then called Verizon and spoke with a supervisor. After a long back-and-forth discussion, he told me I simply needed to wait for the delivery tomorrow, Friday. I'm sorry, but this is not acceptable in my opinion. There are other ways Verizon could resolve this, but instead I'm just being told to wait.

I'm leaving for a week-long trip on Saturday. If the fourth phone is delayed again tomorrow, I plan to return the entire package to a local Verizon store, all three (not activated yet phones), and let Verizon deal with the missing fourth phone and FedEx directly, since the order was incomplete on their end.

Not sure we'll ever go back to Verizon. 36 months is a full year beyond most other providers' contracts. You pay a premium for a service that is on par with less expensive competitors and if you leave/upgrade early, you get hit with the balance of what you owe on all of your devices.
It's not expensive if this deal suits your needs. You get $5k of products today, you pay $6500 for it and get three years of service as well.

So that's $500/year, just under $42/month, for four lines of unlimited service including hotspot data. I don't see anyone else offering unlimited data plus hotspot for $10/month per line. The quality of service is better than most, too.

Plus you don't have to pay for everything up front, you're getting an interest free three year loan.

This kind of deal is absolutely not for me, I'm cheap and don't need the newest phone, or that many lines, and don't use a lot of data. But for people who have multiple family members who want a premium experience, this is a solid deal.

If you can't pay for them in cash RIGHT NOW.
You should NOT be looking at this....that is true for any purchase(except primary residence).
Follow my advice and you will thank me in 5-10 years.
Cash on the barrel. Pa Ingalls taught me well. (except he broke his own rules all the time, and got burned every time)

I wouldn't wish verizon on my worst enemy.
Why is that? Verizon's one of the few companies I've had a very positive experience with. I only have them for Fios, though I guess I have their phone service now too since they bought out my provider

What if I plan to leave Verizon after a year (say Black Friday next year)?

Is there an early termination fee or I just need to pay off my remaining balance of the device (after Verizon has paid 1 year of device down payment on my behave)?
If you're thinking about switching after a year, don't buy this. After paying off the phones and early termination fees (which apply to each line) you're paying almost as much as the full three years of service.

Don't forget that after the 3-year contract for the free phones one can downgrade the plan to the $25 plan, saving even more on your bill! Plus if you open a Verizon credit card to autopay your phone bill you also earn 2% back every month 4% on restaurants. It adds up so I would recommend it. You apply in the store with the rep before the end of the transaction. Also, go to a Verizon Corporate store they can sometimes waive the activation fee! Wink I've been with Verizon for 15 Years, never had a problem.

Interesting…been with Verizon for over 20 years and my loyalty discount dropped for my 6 lines. They've been giving me the run around for weeks. They keep promising or lying they will take care of me. For new customers or potential new customers, APPROACH WITH CAUTION!

Does anyone have the text of the $300 gift card terms? Is it limited to "one per account", "one per order" or is it "one per line"?

Were you able to get around the $4.99/mo for each phone?

The pro max version was a cyber Monday deal. I don't think you can get that. Maybe try asking the chat agent.
