That only applies if you finance the device, not if you pay the full amount from the start.

This topic has come up in every spectrum mobile deal, and while the terms seem a bit ambiguous I've yet to see a single person subject to this while paying off the device at the beginning.

Per Spectrum.com

"To request an unlock code from Spectrum Mobile:

The device must be purchased from, and activated on, a Spectrum Mobile line.
The device must be paid off in full.
The device cannot be reported lost or stolen or involved with fraudulent activity.
Your Spectrum Mobile device must be active for 60 days and in good standing, with no outstanding payments."

Spectrum does not use traditional contracts for its services.

so if we don't live in an area serviced by spectrum Internet we can't get this deal?
I think based on $1000 price tax. It should be based on $400.

Is tax based on the full price ?
$1000 - $600 - $200 - $14(trade-in) = $186 (no sales tax here in MT)

lol they're charging sales tax on $1000 retail price. Based on the past S25 deal, they do refund some of the sales tax after the trade-in is completed though.
I didn't get any refund for my S25 deal. Don't count on it. Paying tax on full price is expected.

They give more trade-in $ for a iPhone 13 than something like a Pixel 8a. LoL.

Unfortunate that the sales tax was $105 for me (CA), but still a deal. Traded in S25 FE from Metro ($99 + $65 1 month, with port in) that was unlocking in 9 months. Got $218 credit, plus additional $200 promotional.

If you see it available in the trade-in devices, then Yes. I have done that before. Is it really $25 for G Power 2025? That is cheap. I didn't see any over there for $25. I think you mean Motorola G 2025, but at $25 you got only 64gb version. Spectrum required 128gb version which costs $40 Boost Mobile at Walmart.

The cheapest phone for trade-in is Motorola G 2025 128GB. The price is around $40 Boost mobile at Walmart.

Wrong. It is Motorola G 2025 128gb, $40 for boost mobile at Walmart. The Power version costs more.
