That only applies if you finance the device, not if you pay the full amount from the start.

This topic has come up in every spectrum mobile deal, and while the terms seem a bit ambiguous I've yet to see a single person subject to this while paying off the device at the beginning.

Per Spectrum.com

"To request an unlock code from Spectrum Mobile:

The device must be purchased from, and activated on, a Spectrum Mobile line.
The device must be paid off in full.
The device cannot be reported lost or stolen or involved with fraudulent activity.
Your Spectrum Mobile device must be active for 60 days and in good standing, with no outstanding payments."

Spectrum does not use traditional contracts for its services.

Regarding state sales tax - I've done 3 trade-ins in store in the past few years and was only charged NY sales tax on my post trade-in final cost. So, try going to the store to buy.

Long time Spectrum customer here who feels completely violated by their internet pricing

I can get a trade in phone for $50 (moto g 5g 128)

I think i know, but 60 day unlock is the only commitment if picked up at store and paid in full? I can get free service for 12mos and the phone for probably $250 + cost of trade-in phone, so $300+/-

While I don't plan on separating from Spectrum (limited viable options) I don't want a commitment to prevent me from doing so.

Do they carry these in the stores? If I could trade in store they would only charge me the tax on what I'm paying in cash and wouldn't have to go through the possibility of them denying the trade in.

That's 64GB version. The trade in requires a 128GB version.

What is wrong with their internet pricing? Are you paying $70 per month for 100mbps? I am paying $40 per month for 500mbps upload and download. I already got 1 year free of unlimited mobile service and I am on the 2nd year of free mobile service. Where can I go to get that kind of deal? I normally paid only $20 per month for my Internet service from Spectrum for 300mbps up & down.

If you see it available in the trade-in devices, then Yes. I have done that before. Is it really $25 for G Power 2025? That is cheap. I didn't see any over there for $25. I think you mean Motorola G 2025, but at $25 you got only 64gb version. Spectrum required 128gb version which costs $40 Boost Mobile at Walmart.
Hmmm interesting 128GB for $40
I'm trying to find the cheapest phone possible to trade in for this deal. Because I want to trade my current P9Pro for a fold

$90 mo 400mbps

new customers get it a lot cheaper. I shouldn't have to threaten divorce every year just to get passed on to retention to get a better offer

Ouch. Are there limited options in your area? We're paying $50 in the Bay Area for the first 12 months for 1 Gigabit with Sonic and $60 after that.

spectrum cable offers up to 2GB I can definitely get by with 300
frontier DSL $65 10mbps- 100mbps
satellite ?

spectrum offer 300mbps for 12 mos for new subscribers for $30 and 500mbps for $40

I could probably do a deal with a TV bundle, but spite prevents me from adding more spectrum services

I would consider their 12 mos free mobile. It's free

IfI divorce for 60 days I can become a new customer

How does the $200 promotional credit work? I just paid $447 for the phone and on the check out screen it showed a $200 promotional credit and $60 back for my pixel 7 pro. It didn't show me a final price. Is the final $447 - $260? When do I receive the $200 back?
