That only applies if you finance the device, not if you pay the full amount from the start.

This topic has come up in every spectrum mobile deal, and while the terms seem a bit ambiguous I've yet to see a single person subject to this while paying off the device at the beginning.

Per Spectrum.com

"To request an unlock code from Spectrum Mobile:

The device must be purchased from, and activated on, a Spectrum Mobile line.
The device must be paid off in full.
The device cannot be reported lost or stolen or involved with fraudulent activity.
Your Spectrum Mobile device must be active for 60 days and in good standing, with no outstanding payments."

Spectrum does not use traditional contracts for its services.

what is the deal with the extra $200? It offered me $60 for a pixel 7 pro + $200 promotional credit. $447 total with tax in HI. Does this mean I will get $260 off after sending my phone in and final price will be $187? Seems too good to be true... or will the final be just $60 off the $447? They were not very clear about what my final price will be. When does the $200 promotional credit come back?

Yeah the S25 was $93 out the door trading in a cheapo Motorola phone. Some then traded the S25 in for an S25+ and then traded the S25+ in for an S25 ultra. After a few days Spectrum put a stop to the multiple trade in loophole.

The fun one imo is I could trade in my S24+ for an S25+ and get $180 back. So it paid for 6 months of service. Basically for 3 years now I have been payign 180 a year for unlimited 5g+a brand new S series phone lol.

you'll probably get them back in two months billing to your account.

Anyone successfully do this deal in store? Just wanted to see if they charge full price depending on your state. All the rest of the deals I did in the past, they didn't charge full tax in Kentucky, Wisconsin and Texas.

After they receive the phone and verify, you should get a $260 credit on your account, so yes the final price should be $187.

a few questions. any deals for a combine all in one home internet & cellular. I pay about $75 per month on internet. a few years back when i got the s25 ultra they were able to get me a pretty good deal where if i combine the phone and home internet the total was cheaper than just internet alone. unfortunately that only lasted a year or two.

You got the S25 Ultra a few years ago? Can you get me a deal on the S28 Ultra?

It's based on state. I already know I'm screwed on the tax in CA.
Visible did an interesting thing on their $450 Pixel 10 + 1 year deal: they charged for the service and made the phone free, so total was $450, no tax.

Man another person who didn't see clearly. Did you have a problem of seeing or reading? That is Motorola G 2025 64gb. I am talking about Motorola G POWER 2025. FYI: For Motorola G 2025, Spectrum only takes 128GB, not 64GB. It will cost $40 on sale for Motorola G 2025 128gb. FYI: Motorola g power 2025 is different from Motorola g 2025. The power version is more expensive and stronger.

I dropped by a store in Southern California yesterday evening, and they didn't have any on hand. The clerk had to go check the stock room, and reported that all they had were Pixel 10 Pro XLs. She had no idea what kind of inventory they receive and when, which is the same answer I got back in February when asking about shipments of Galaxy S25s.

I tried to suss out of her if they'd been moving a lot of product since BF, but she didn't think so. There are some phone discounts for Spectrum Mobile, but this is arguably the only noteworthy deal.

I forgot to ask if she has visibility in the computer for other stores, but considering the sales reps always walk into the stock room to check, I doubt that question can be answered.

At this point, I think I'll just wait for the Galaxy S26 to launch and hope that Samsung once again gives trade-in value for old junk phones. I honestly don't feel this business model is sustainable, but they've been doing it for a few years already...

While I was waiting, I overheard a different sales rep pushing hard for a customer to open up a first Spectrum Mobile line. It sounded like she was saying that they are about to end the free line for a year, which they'd been doing for a while. But it sounded like your typical hard sales pitch, so I doubt that she was being honest.

I went in store (North Carolina) and got this deal. But still had to pay over $80 in tax (based on full value of the phone).

Not sure what I was doing or why this is the case, but we ended up trading in an Iphone 13 and it was worth $124 (we paid $150 + 2/mo service from another slick deal) but for some reason spectrum said we get a year of free service? But maybe I read that wrong? Not sure why though.

Anyone familiar with when the "Mobile Device Balance" updates on My Spectrum? Monthly payments are correct (36/mo @ 11.11 pre-trade-in) but the total balance owed on the phone shows $972.xx... and it will allow me to place the full payment.

That balance has to be zero for me to unlock after 60days... hopefully i didnt' commit to 36/mo worth of mobile service in my contract to get that price...
