purchased 2 boxes of these about 2 years ago. at 10 cents a battery they are so-so. using about 2 of these vs 1 name brand in smoke alarms per year. towards the end of the last box the last few were only lasting about 3-4 months.

Lots of recent posts are negative about duration of batteries. Quoted shelf 'life' is 5 years. Seems long but Costco Kirkland is 12 years.

I bought this last time it was posted. They don't last very long. Prompted by door lock, controllers, etc almost constantly that batteries are low. Wouldn't do it again just because of space considerations. Lots of batteries laying around that you know won't last very long. Will be glad when I burn through these.

Good deal if you need to burn through hundreds of these batteries in the course of a few months. Like if you had a tour company with audio tour devices or something. For home use, I'd pay just a little extra and get the Amazon basic yellow/gold batteries. They're supposed to have a 10-year shelf life, and tend to last a bit longer.

I purchased these on a prior SD about two years ago and I've been happy with them. I just got into my last pack, so I'm ready for a refill. As others have noted, the run time on the batteries isn't super great, but I have two young kids so there are mostly going into kids toys or one-time-use items where the toy/item stops working before the battery runs out of juice. At $.08/battery on the 300-count with S&S this should get me through the next couple of years. I'd recommend these for anyone with toddlers.
