Was $99, dropped down another $15 today alongside the 8 Quart version. An alternative to the Duo Plus 6 Quart deal previously posted here
Something to consider for $25 more it comes with handles and the quick steam release; the inner pot can be used on stove (non-gas burner) as well.

Another Slickdealer told me that the Instant Pot Pro versions are much better at searing meat.

Can anyone confirm?

It has 20% more power. With the flat bottom and the insulated handles searing, saute can be done on the stove which is easier and cleaner. We cut the time to table way down with every use by starting on the stove or portable induction then transferring hot to Pro. This also saves wear and tear on the i.p. heating element. There's much more to like such as fine digital control of temperature for proofing, baking without pressure and slow cooking.

P-i-P pot in pot method, both covered and uncovered, unlocks the full power of i.p The opening of the 6 qt inner pot is 8.5" Look for accessory pots with an o.d. of 6-1/2 to 7 -1./2 " Titanium metal back[acting pots between 1 and 2 L capacity are ideal because they come with lose fitting lids, have the fastest cooking speed, are inert and non-toxic and will not burn your hands handling right out of the I.p.. Some of these are also on sale today.

I went back and forth between this model and the Whisper Quiet model yesterday. I'm happy to see the price on this one drop even further, it's now been purchased.

This instant pot is wonderful for making L.Reuteri yogurt (36 hours at a constant 100 degrees), just one degree from being accurate which is easy to offset in the settings.

Are you talking about the $60 one? If so, yes. This has a better inner pot that has handles and can be used on a stove. It also comes with additional presets (but this doesn't really matter much).
