- Phone sales tax- due at sign up.
- Monthly Taxes. Like someone mentioned can be as high as $9/line per month
- Activation fees. Apparently $40 per line, but maybe you can get waived?
- Verizon has historically said allow 1-2 billing cycles for discounts to appear. Well, if they don't appear be prepared to spend multiple calls and hours to try and get them to honor their agreement.
- This service plan is the lowest unlimited so don't get the ultra wideband (faster 5g) or hot spot.
- to take full advantage of the discount you have to keep the lines for 3 years. That's a long time to be locked in. Theoretical scenario: if you pulled all 4 lines out after 2 years would owe around $1500 for the phone pay offs.
While a good price, I think they are trying to get you to sign up, and then bc you'll be frustrated with the lower plan will upgrade at a significant cost ($40/line instead of $25).
This reddit post [reddit.com] explains data prioritization for the 3 major carriers and the MVNOs on them.
Fed Universal Service Charge: $0.41
Regulatory Charge: $0.21
Admin & Telco Recovery Charge: $3.78
CA State 911 Surcharge: $0.41
CA State 988 Surcharge: $0.08
CA Universal Service PPP Fee: $0.90
Emerg Comm Acc Tax: $3.22
City UUT: $0.28
Total charges per line = $9.29
It's still a really good deal if you're in the market for new iPhones

Can anyone explain how the billing works.
3 lines got activated immediately , 1 line activated after the billing date cut off.
My 1st bill was $186.60 in spite of signing up autopay and e billing. I went on the app and disputed the bill. Later that same day chatted through the app with billing. The rep after lot of back and forth applied instant credits to have my 1st bill to 105.6 that was later pulled by autopay
My monthly bill ongoing estimate is $126.8 with tax.
Disputing the bill seems to have worked. As they have to settle the dispute.. he seemed to give me half the amount as instant adjustments or credits but I refused to settle and he gave me the full credit
Ymmv if you folks have the patience
We came from regular AT&T and had the bill in hand. With AT&T, we were paying $180/mo for two lines - no perks, no new phones, nothing.
Please go online and submit the $300 gc
one per line. 5 minutes if your time and you may end up with $1200 gc's if approved

My first months bill (Dec - even though it started on Dec 23) is $321. My next est (jan) was $32 and on-going is $40 (these are approximate and after tax). When they adjusted to give me the activation waivers, first bill went down to $201 but then my next est spiked to $145 and thats where things stand (with exception to the latest rep telling me to wait until after autopay and he would make corrections after). None of it makes sense - I'm going to continue to argue that if my on-going is $40, thats essentially what those 2 months should be, unless someone can help me understand why this is case?
