Are these the same as the ikea rechargeable batteries? My wife buys those and bought the ikea charger. Wondering if these will work.

Potential fire hazards? no thanks. Don't get me wrong the 1.5v lithium ion batteries are a cool design and work reasonably well but lithium primaries and NIHM are just safer.
