According to reviews, the metal stops less than midway through the handle and the handle becomes flimsy over time. I'd avoid this one.

Maybe the ones we have are different, but we have 4 that we got from the local shelter (we have six cats) I think at least 5 years ago, and they've held up great. They are either the same as these, or this deal is for knock offs.

I bought this last year on a slickdeal and had the same issue. Handle is flimsy but the scoop itself works really well abd and is nonstick. It fell apart after less than an year though.

Bought one 10yrs+ ago. Amazing. Still solid. Bpught this version 2-3yrs ago. Absolutely hate it. Feels like the handle is made of silicone after about 2" above the handle and bends with an ounce of force. Worthless. Older one is 1 solid piece as it should be.

Broke a shit ton of plastic scoops because I evidently turn into the incredible hulk when cleaning boxes, my old trusty metal scoop is running strong for ~5 years at this point

Same here. I went through the few plastic scoops until I found the metal one at Target. I have three cats and several litter boxes, ended up buying one scoop for each box. No issues over the few years, can certainly recommend it. Here is the link for those who interested:

P.S. And yeah, I have Litter Robot too.
