Also the bottles feel weird like rough and dry. I stopped ordering drinks from Amazon for all those reasons

I remember during Covid at Walmart you could get these 6 packs of bottles for less than $3 regular price. I don't know if it was due to the 'shortage' of aluminum during the pandemic or what, but it was nice to get them for that price with no sales or coupons needed.

Had too many damaged in shipping. Dollar General has on sale every two weeks and you can use your Chase Sapphire, $10 credit.

Plastic bottles allow the fizz to go out faster but they don't explode if left in the car.

I read here that someone said they manually tighten them. Does it help? Not sure, but I guess the theory sounds good. I was suprised how much you could further hand tighten brand new bottles.

Just put a menthos in there, that should revive the fizz and then some.

Not once have I had sodas arrive flat or close to expiry. That goes for all other food items I've purchased from Amazon.

The only time I've seen Amazon sell anything close to expiration, it was sold by Amazon Warehouse/Resale, was heavily discounted and the expiration date was prominently disclosed so that people knew what they were buying.

Everyone else isn't too stupid to check expiration dates or know when a soda is flat. If it were as common as some people claim, Amazon wouldn't be able to sell it because no one would buy it. Clearly, if expired products are sold those are the exception and not the rule, unless you're buying from an unscrupulous third-party vendor.

Carbon has evaporated from these bottles last time I ordered. Money wasted and lesson learned. Not buying again this time.

Im not sure how common it is, but the expectation is exceptional regarding fresh food. Have you ever gotten flat soda at Walmart (or any major grocer) or stale cereal? I know I have not, and my quantities purchased there dwarf Amazon where I have gotten stale goods, and we're talking about a small fraction of raw purchases and timelines.

I think it has to do with their inventory systems or possibly how they mix third party stuff... but they can get away with this/have leeway in ways that a local grocery cannot.
