Learn to read before fear mongering, thats not the same model even without reading you can see the recalled one doesn't have the built in cable. I have many iniu other models without any problems.

Risky purchase, but for $12... Might pair well with this one:

Put the fire out with your tears. Wrong model buddy. Feel free to buy expensive Samsung models to taste the boot.

No, the INIU P41L has not been recalled.
The recent recall involves the INIU BI-B41 model, not the P41L. Multiple sources, including the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and INIU's official recall page, confirm that only the BI-B41 model with specific serial numbers is affected.
Recalled Model: INIU BI-B41

The INIU BI-B41 portable power bank has been recalled due to a fire and burn hazard. The lithium-ion batteries in these units can overheat and ignite. This recall was initiated after 15 reports of overheating, including 11 fires, resulting in three minor burn injuries and over $380,000 in property damage.
The recall affects approximately 210,000 units sold on Amazon.com between August 2021 and April 2022 for about $18 each.

Lots of companies have recalls, this is not the model listed. To me, it's a good sign that INIU issued a recall, as many other power bank manufacturers disappear a couple months after selling out. This just shows that INIU isn't a fly-by-night brand that we see posted on here all the time.

I own the recalled one. I did notice it got pretty hot. 😬

Ironically, this product page has an image claiming its superior because "others" have an explosion risk. So I guess it's not just other brands, it's also their own "other" models. Lol. Pretty arrogant to try and capitalize on other brands safety issues when you use the same tech.

Anyway, my only question is if there is still a non-wired in/out port or if the wired cable is the in/out and not just out.

I prefer to the existing cables dangling from my various chargers.

From Amazon page:
"features a built-in USB-C cable that charges both your phone and the power bank"

So the hard wire is the in/out.

I've seen this deal on here (fairly certain it's the same one) a few times and it's never shown as $12 for me.

All of the popular power bank companies have had recalls. Belkin and Anker have had major recalls this year, with dozens of fire incidents, injuries, and property damage. Here are some US government recall notices:

When you're misinformed don't announce it.

The more watts a device used the hotter it will get. That's basic 101.

Lots of reviews mention the cable sleeve detaches from the power bank, exposing the inner wires.

It is not hard wired. It has a short c to c cable that doubles as a lanyard.
