16 AWG, this is a 10 amp max extension cord. I wouldn't use this for anything except lights.

There is much more discussion on the other 16ga deal. I think it was $8.25 if you want to know. Most don't want to type repeated posts to educate people. Many things people own use 13 amps. That is an advertised rating, not real world.
