Please note, these are like credit cards. You can't just use up the value then pay with another payment. Your total has to be less than the value of the card or it will be declined like a CC. At restaurants, they have more flexibility in splitting the bill, though.

What?? So then what happens to the remainder?

If that's the case, then you just can't use that card anymore or do you have to restock on the gift card to stick to the one payment method?

Where are you seeing this information? tried looking at the "Help" section and couldn't find anything related to what you mean.

I don't think this is correct. You redeem them for the store/restaurant you choose, online before you use it. So it's treated like a gift card to that specific store/restaurant. Gift card balances are applied, then you pay the difference. I've bought these multiple times.
