Have no clue what you're talking about. Its lifetime warranty on hand tools. These are made in Taiwan. Take it to Lowe's they'll swap you a new one. Sometimes rep doesnt know how to process so they'll tell you to call 1800.

I'd steer clear, Craftsman line is done. No warranty available if you break one.

those are V-Series, the higher end Craftsman's line (made in USA) which went on clearance about a year ago. Majority of the Lowe's shopper wont pay made in USA prices especially for Craftsman. All the regular Craftsman tools are still available.

Man that sucks. The V Series and Overdrive Series were good stuff. But then again, Craftsman hand tools truly died as a brand once it was sold off from Sears.

Both local Lowes in my area still have Craftsman and honor the warranty. Also, ACE still sell Craftsman as well.

I have a couple of these sets and they are mostly ok. However, I hate that they do not include a simple few inches extender. This often makes me run around the garage trying to find another set with an extender. I wouldn't buy again just because of this.

Warranty:
Yes, Lowe's is a primary retailer for Craftsman and generally honors the lifetime warranty on hand tools, but the process has become less straightforward than in the past, often requiring calling Craftsman support directly or finding an equivalent item in-store for exchange.

How to Get Your Craftsman Warranty Honored at Lowe's:

Bring the Item: Take the broken hand tool to your local Lowe's.

Check for Exact Matches: Look in the tool section for the exact replacement tool (same model, tooth count, etc.).
If Exact Match Found: You can usually exchange it at customer service.
If No Exact Match:

Ask for the Closest Equivalent: You might get a newer, similar, or upgraded model.

Call Craftsman Support: If the store can't help, they should provide a number to call Craftsman (Stanley Black & Decker) directly, who will often mail replacements.

I bought the metric set when it was $10.50. Worth it for the nice ratchet alone. If it goes that low again, I'm back in.

Do they honor the warranty on the really old Craftsman tools? I have a 1/2" ratchet that looks like it was made a long time ago I got from a garage sale, but doesn't work very well.

It varies by stores some cs rep are picky about it has to be EXACTLY the same others dont care. Just warranty the darn thing it doesnt really matter Craftsman will take the broken item. It all depends on which rep you run into. Go to another store or come back later different rep. Its not really "hassle free" what they're doing.
Also, inconsistent how warranty is processed at each location. Some are simple, use the scanner for exchange, print sticker for broken item then your off with the new tool. Other store require ID; refund to gift card then use that gift card apply to new item. Some store dont even process at all, take broken item and give you new item. Then you get the ones that will say..."we stopped warranty Craftsman you have to call 1800" which is BS. They just dont want deal with processing it, dont know how or just straight up being difficult/bad customer service.
