I bought one of these no-name paddleboards last year and it was not stable at all. Granted I was trying to paddleboard on lake Michigan, but felt it was struggling even when the water was still

I shopped around and grabbed a more expensive model on sale (which shouldn't be hard to find off season) for about $200. It's more stable than these, has a ton more features and has lasted 3 seasons so far.
I would recommend one of these if you're trying to see if you want to get started at all, or if it's mostly going to be ridden by kids. $70 is about as low as they go, even in the offseason.
