Unless you have a clear and often need for something like this, stick with a jab saw or oscillating tool.

Actually agree with the previous answer. Most of the time tools are solid yes, but this is an easy tool to skip unless you have lots of dry wall to do.

I agree this isn't likely to be the most used tool. I pulled the trigger as we plan to drywall our basement and this could be handy. But even beyond that for the price it will be nice to have the charger and battery as I don't yet have it for Ridgid.

I have a corded DeWalt I bought 9 years ago. I have yet to use it. 🤣. I'm still fighting the urge to grab the Ridgid bc "it's such a great deal, comes with battery/charger, and I'll need it one day."

Do they make more of a heavy-duty, masonry bit for these type of tools? I have a 1930s house with plaster walls (no metal lathe) and I have never come up with a good method for making cutout.
