They're testing the price level to see how much we would pay for this bundle.

Nov 24: Acme had this for $249. Within an hour, the sale was labeled "sold out" and the same bundle was listed as $299.

Dec 1: Home Depot had this for $259 as a daily deal. I assume a lot of people bought in, so now they're testing $279.

If you need it now, then it's not a bad price. But if you can wait, I can see them going for $269 next.

I have a big boy Milwaukee torque wrench 1/2 i bought like 3 years ago from home depot. Will these battery make my tool stronger? I am currently using the 5.0 version.

If your battery is the 5.0 version, its not the forge since they only make it it 6,8,12. To answer your question, it will undoubtedly be more powerful with these batteries.
