They're testing the price level to see how much we would pay for this bundle.

Nov 24: Acme had this for $249. Within an hour, the sale was labeled "sold out" and the same bundle was listed as $299.

Dec 1: Home Depot had this for $259 as a daily deal. I assume a lot of people bought in, so now they're testing $279.

Dec 24: Home Depot $279. Seems like buyers didn't flock to this so they're doing the same deal again in such a short amount of time (or could be the same deal).

Looks like Home Depot is looking to move these batteries but afraid of losing profit. If you're in need of these batteries, this is not a bad price. They usually go for $299, but if you can wait, I could see them testing a lower price point.

Milwaukee sets the prices and they will change pricing at any moment depending on buy in. They set the limit and if HD or Acme bought in lower, they will sometimes take a lower margin to eat chunks out of the national pooled inventory allocation and then increase once they get traffic. It's all a game.

Totally agree, no need to jump in. It's ridiculous that they keep pushing different type of batteries but doing the same thing. I'm happy with all the 5ah I have, considering I'm a professional contractor.

I didn't know. And that makes sense. I always thought Home Depot just has exclusivity or some sort of long term contract. Didn't know it was all a gamble behind the scenes. Anyway, seems like we, the buyers want $249-$259 again. If they don't budge, we don't buy!
