This is about as much as what this phone is really worth it. It is a decent basic phone, somewhat limited by the 4GB RAM.
On the good side - dual-SIM/eSIM plus MicroSD Card support are neat features.
Motorola runs a somewhat cleaner version of Android (compared to Samsung's bloatware) but also offers only a few years of support.

Why buy a used phone with no warranty? BestBuy still has the Moto G phones on sale, new, unlocked, for $50 off when purchased online at the same time as a Visible SIM for $26. The Moto G Play 2024 64GB is ($99 - $50 + $26) = $76.

Where are you seeing esim support? Afaik these are single physical SIM only.

Are security updates that importatnt? I am still using my android 8 limited SD 845 LGV35, because I like the quad dac built in. Would the Moto G Play run faster or slower with the less ram and slower processor, because its on a newer version of android?
I don't know enough to comment on the security. I went to the Moto Play from a V35. Not much speed difference in navigating menus, launching media, etc. Game emulators choke sooner on the more demanding games. Blacks on the screen aren't anything like the V35's OLED. Camera sucks compared to the V35. That said, I was still impressed at how well a $50 phone compared to an older flagship.

No esim. I got one just to load foreign sims on my international travels. Good for places that don't allow direct e-sim on my unlocked main phone.

Not having 5G does it matter? Not going to be streaming video.

Thinking of using this as a 2nd phone when I am oversea. I like the dual SIM card.
LTE is perfectly fine. If you don't need the bandwidth, it's better because it consumes less battery power than 5G.
The bands it connects to are tuned for US carriers, so make sure the bands are mostly compatible with wherever you're going.

I can't get to to this price at $76. What is Visible Sim $26?

From what I gathered the branded versions didn't support esim or multiple sims, but the original unlocked direct from Motorola did. I wouldn't trust refurbs to be the unbranded original unlocked version though. Mine was AT&T and doesn't support esim or dual sim.

I don't know where people get this idea, but the g play 2024 does not support eSIM. https://en-us.support.motorola.co...%282024%29

At eBay they have the same phone for $44.99. Brand new, same color & sealed. Prepaid with AT&T only. Seller has only three left. Free shipping. Track phone has it for $39.00 or can get the moto 5G with 128gb for $59.00 ( both brand new ) but You have to sign up for one of their plans. They do honor lifeline plans & You can get a free 64GB MOTO brand new with new sign up.

May have been confused with the moto g (2024) [not g PLAY]. That one has physical SIM and eSIM.

Not being a jerk but got 2 of these phones with two 1 year 1500min/1500txt/1.5 gig of data on Tracfone for only $60 (+ coupon code) and after 2 months they will unlock also included beyond normal accessories was two 5000mah batteries (tried 1 yesterday and got 80% charge) This was right before black friday. This is the 2nd time in 2 years I have bought this phone deal so 4 phones and four 1 year plans.

Also anyone that has this phone you can go into settings and use part of the 64 gigs of memory to up the 4 gigs of memory up to 6 gigs (for some reason my cellphone shows 8 gigs of ram)???
