Holy Molly, each cookie has more sugar per cookie than protein.. and has 460 calories each, that's crazy.

They are tasty, but they are also very high in sugar compared to most protein bars. The protein is on the lower side. And they have palm oil, soybean oil and or canola. I'm going to pass.

No, he's trying to tell you that for a protein bar, the calorie count is extremely high for 16 g of protein!

Typically, you're getting 10 to 20 g of protein for roughly 200 calories.

I'm trying to figure out the point of these. The protein label used to catch eyes in convenience stores and gyms, but the macro's are not good enough for this to be a health food. It's more so literally a meal replacement, hence "complete" cookie, and not even for a bodybuilder since 16g protein per 460 calories isn't ideal.

No problem with the cookies having sugar, I don't like how they advertise the protein content on the front as though it's a higher protein snack. Which it is not, atleast for how calorie dense it is

I know these things aren't necessarily marketed as a meal replacement and they lack the vitamins/ minerals to be considered such, but we need need to approach these types of products in that same way. It's a high calorie snack and there's almost no difference to eating a slice of cake or something with a similar calorie content. The only difference is you get slightly more protein with this cookie. Treat it like a meal replacement and obviously if you have the time, track your calories/ macros.

I didn't see the point in these until I started running and realized how my body works when adequately fueled. I lift in the morning and run in the evening, this is a great pre-run snack and the added protein is a sweet little bonus. Or, eat half before a lift and half after, the sugar is just being used to replenish glycogen stores anyways.
