Would strongly advise against coconut oil in a plastic container. That oil has a property of drawing out toxins via the action of lauric acid. The problem is that it will draw out microplastics and phthalates from the container. You can often smell a strong plastic odor when you open it that is a symptom of this proces.
At best you should remove it into a glass container upon opening.
