Ultimately went with the QN90F after an excessive amount of research and viewing them at Best Buy. OLED burn-in still has me a bit irrational at this point, so I eliminated the S95F and G5. The TCL looked solid, but the matte screen sold me on the QN90F.
People who hate on the matte screen are just curmudgeons or obnoxious purists who have the luxury of a pitch black basement set up. Watching TV you don't even notice it at all. And watching during the day is awesome to not have to worry about reflections. Night time watching is also great.
Lack of Dolby Vision support is annoying, but HD10 is good enough for me. I will say I absolutely HATE with all my being the Samsung UI and how it constantly prompts you to make an account. You can't even us various streaming apps from it without first having a Samsung account. Maybe this is just the norm in 2026 for TVs, but coming from my 10yr old TV is annoying AF. Ultimately it's not a deal breaker b/c we use Apple TV, but it's the principle.
Only had it a month, but so far so good.

It seems like the QM8K overcomes glare with shear brightness whereas the QN90F has a matte surface that eliminates glare at the expense some color and contrast. For those who may have a QM8K in a bright room, do you notice the glossy finish at all? Thanks!

So I was wondering for those who have the TCL glossy screen in a bright room, do they even notice reflections during the day. TCL probably wins in a dark room for everything RTNGs mentions in its review.

I am curious...what was the price difference at the time you bought between the Samsung and the TCL?
