Just follow the RTNGS setup for this and you will be good. https://www.rtings.com/monitor/re.../q27g40xmn
Gaming is perfect on this thing and watching movies is great as well. Office work is wonderful too, which is the main selling point versus OLED for a monitor . HDR is not the monitors strong point but serviceable. I have long ago given up on pc HDR so don't care either way.
I came from a 4k monitor which I had scaled 125% in desktop mode. Most games don't run well enough for 4k for me so was running most games at 1440p too. I think for 27inches the sweet spot is 1440p I have it at native no scaling and it looks great. I think i bit into the 4k HDR hype for no good reason unless you are running larger than 27inches it doesn't realistically matter.

1200 nits of brightness? That's gotta be pretty bright for a monitor?

If you're interested in running this at 10-bit Bit depth, you can only run this at 120Hz, otherwise it drops to 8-bit.

Even 500nits makes me want to throw up after a few minutes if I set my monitor manually (Not this but my current monitor can do 1k nits).
