If you need to supplement zinc then don't wait to buy. If you supplement zinc though it's usually wise to supplement copper as well.

Be careful with zinc. Be sure you need to take this high of a dose.

I took too much and it wasn't fun. It wasn't immediate but it gave me stomach upset like I had food poisoning.

This is a great price if you need this dose.

For me, the high dose made me understand the real meaning of "shitting a brick"
Yes we do need zinc but like everything else in the right dosage

I've been taking this for over a year. I cut it in half with a pill cutter and take half per day. It's a small, hard, and round pill, so you'll need something like a pill cutter if you want to cut it.
I used to get colds every three months or so before this, but I only got sick once all of last year.

Oh man, I made the mistake of taking it with only a small amount of oatmeal one morning... I've never had stomach pain so bad in my life. Worse than food poisoning, worse than the stomach virus. I had to lay flat for over 4 hours attempting to sleep it off...
Be SURE to eat a meal with this stuff

We only need about 10-13 mg a day to be healthy. so AHHHHHHHH please consider eating differently and forget the pills made in ways we don't even know. To the people talking about dosage, you have to factor in the percentage of elemental zinc in each form. In this case, zinc gluconate is about 14% elemental zinc by weight so you're getting a little over 4mg of actual zinc. Taking any form of zinc on an empty stomach has the risk of stomach issues but also increases absorption. You can split it up to help with this.
