FYI: if you have a Menards nearby, they carry one basically identical to this, but with USB-C charging so you don't need a dedicated charger for it.
They're also only $15.

Damn, just bought this on Amazon for ~$40. No regrets though, great product, cuts boxes in seconds. It's one of the top rated electric scissors tested by Project Farms on YouTube.

I bought one of these a while back. Cuts boxes with ease, has a lock-out switch for increased safety. And it cut through one of my thicker cardboard TV boxes, which was nice. Thanks OP!

Absolutely love this thing so much, I purchased one for my parents and they love it to. As long as you are not trying to cut some industrial strength super thick cardboard it's awesome.

You can just tell them no boxes please. Hell, when I worked there we were supposed to wait to be asked to use boxes.
Hard to say if this will cut them, because the boxes vary in thickness depending on what product it came from. You can see dozens of different thicknesses in a given day.

It will, if it has hard time, just pull back and tilt the blade a bit till you find an angle that works

Bought this in December from Best Buy when it was on sale and it's been great for cutting up large boxes so I can tie them up for recycling.

Do you have this? If so, can you comment on how well it works, preferably in comparison to this B&D model?

I have the "Tool Shop" one from Menard's, yes. It works pretty well on most stuff (plastic clamshell packaging is no problem), but like this Worx one, it'll struggle a bit on super thick cardboard.
