I really like mine and find when I am breaking down a lot of boxes for recycling I end up using this and the utility knife both. The more you use it the more you learn strengths/weaknesses.

It's great for appliances and niche stuff, but as for small electronics like this, it's unnecessary and yessir considered outdated due to changes of standard, which you might need to update yourself with.
And suggest ppl to spend $7 for charger replacement for shit like this, are you serious?

You are rambling like you have no idea what you are talking about and it's pretty obvious you don't.
You are the one making the claim that this is outdated and is being removed yet you have nothing to back it up.
You act like this should only exist in 2005, yet it's still widely used today.
You made the claim this uses a proprietary charger, that is wrong, I simply pointed out one option for buying another charger on Amazon.

First of all I'm talking about charger, not including the barrel jacks as DC power connections.
Barrel jacks have multiple sizes/diameters, and were not standardized so every big brand has their own versions. If you're old enough, then you should have plenty frustrating experiences of trying to find the right charger for different electronics.
Microusb charger didn't come out until about whatever year after 2005 (kindly remind you that's 20 freaking years ago), which that I bought my very last cellphone that used barrel jack charger.
Starting 2022 EU adopted new rules starting to standardize usbc for charging port, aiming to reduce e-waste. California followed that some years after.
Now tell me, how the fark can someone justify invest into sth backward, especially for a mid level tool.
The time you spent on typing "you blah blah blah" would be more than sufficient for you to Google stuff. Who's the wrong one now, bet you not still not happy and will find sth else to yap about...
edit: just cuz sth is still commonly used doesn't mean it's not phasing out, like the car lighter sockets, now are you gonna defend that too?
