Metro is locked to its own network and will not work with T-Mobile. It used to work the other way around, but I recall T-Mobile ended up blocking that as well. Don't count on using this Metro device on T-Mobile or any of its other MVNO until it is unlocked.

Nobody actually willing to post the specs? It's 128gb storage/8gb ram/6.8" display

I bought one of these during the Target clearance/ATT prepaid deal a few months ago for $25, but that one was locked. So I'm pretty stoked to be able to get one for $55 that will eventually be actually usable. Screen is huge (bigger than Pixel 10 XL); decent camera for the price; nice tactile backing that feels great in the hand; Motorola pretty good with security updates. 365 day unlock requires some serious patience ofc.

Aww that's disappointing, I was just about to pull the trigger on this.
I do have an unlocked Moto G Power 2024 that was a Straight Talk phone and it's very nice.
I'm using it on another Verizon Value brand carrier at the moment.
But I'm waiting out the unlock period on a Straight Talk Moto G Stylus 2025 which should be in the first week of February, I'll work with what I have.
It's always fun to get a new phone. But I suppose I don't really need it.
Thank you so much for letting me know, I already had my credit card out but I'm glad that I stopped back here first.

Glad to help.

I get Android phones for cheap and give it to family & friends after unlocking. I now have two of Total's 2025 Moto Stylus unlocked. Decent phones especially for the price and features.

If only Moto did a good job with OS support, these would be awesome.

Those QVC phones also will now unlock after a year of paid service as per the new unlock policy for verizon. So the plans that come along with those have to be kept on use on the same devices for a year to get them unlocked. Also those are 2024 variants and despite a better processor on paper, those phones might loose more value in a year compared to 2025 variant. I could be wrong, but just sharing my understanding.

Good price for a decent phone. I got the deal from BB and I'm impressed for the price. Bummer that it takes 365 days for an unlock.

So now Metro itself is dumping its phone in Slickdeals?

Is this phone worth? Seems to be really low end phone

Seconded. If you're using the phone yourself the '24 is going to be better due to the better chip. The design of the '25 is probably subjectively better and just having it be a '25 model will matter if you plan to flip it.

In the context of the QVC bundle vs this, you do get 1 year of service with each device on the QVC bundle + the case, which supports the argument that the QVC bundle is better if you plan to use the actual device.

It's always a scummy move by Motorola to downgrade their devices year over year, but this is what they're comfortable with doing and YouTubers have called them out on it.

It's a low-mid-range phone spec-wise. The 8GB RAM really stands out on devices at this price range. With Samsung you don't get 8GB on carrier variants until you reach the S-series (most prepaid carrier Samsung A series have 6GB or less).
