Yeah I have the Echo Show 10 in my kitchen, the one that rotates and what not. The UI sucks and it really doesn't do much but tell time, weather and offer me a timer. I got in on a trade in deal and wouldn't buy another.

If they'd give these a more tablet like interface and some actual apps they'd be alright. The sound quality is good, but I have a great stereo so I never play music on it.

Just FYI, I looked into the fire OS on the 15/21, its equivalent to android 9 (pie), so those who are considering side loading the Google Play store, u will be very limited on what you can install

Does anyone have a suggestion for a good vesa stand for the 21" echo show? I don't feel like paying over $100 for the Amazon stand.

Update: I decided to try this one...there were a few "used - like new" ones for $23.64 so I got one of those. A few of the reviews said it works well with the 21. Hopefully it will work well for me.

I would be happy if the thing just googled for me. It refuses to Google anything. I know it doesn't use Google but whatever it uses completely sucks and when she doesn't want to answer me she just doesn't answer me. Like she didn't even hear me. I was hoping to get one of the new Google devices when they come out and replace Alexa.

I tried using Alexa+ but on my Echo Shows kept ending up on a blue screen with only the time on the screen. The old version would default to my screen saver which is my photos. I also don't like the new voices. I ended up removing it. If amazon could fix the issue of the screen going to a blue screen instead of the default screen saver, I'd try it again.

I can only get that price if I trade in any Echo, including my dot from many years ago. (the flat puck ones) Still seems like a good deal.

Edit: Did they get rid of Eero built-in? That's a deal breaker, for me.

Edit 2: False alarm. It still has Eero extender capabilities.

Great deal! Just purchased the Echo Show 11. I tried to purchase one a few weeks ago, but the update deal was only $5, where-as it was $35 in December. Glad I didn't pull the trigger as I just got $70 off the new sales price. Pretty good deal! I have a couple of Echo Show 8s and an Echo Show 10 2nd generation. The Show 10 never got and never will get the Alexa+ upgrade. Apparently, it is on a different platform.

Gee, I had to turn my echo show 8's OFF. So many sponsored ads that are Forced and can't be turned off. My advice is before buying ANY echo SHOW device, look at latest reviews, and look at 1 star reviews. ADS ADS ADS. It has gotten so bad for me, I just had to unplug the device. Very intrusive! Many of the echo Show devices have 4 out of 5 stars in global ratings. For your own good, check out the latest user reviews, and look at past echo show slickdeals from the past year or 2.
I used to recommend the echo show devices, and was in LOVE with them. But that LOVE has turned to HATE! When Jeff Bezos was still in charge, Jeff didn't go against regular people. New Management choose Big Businesses over regular people. Amazon advertises to get companies to spam our devices with Sponsored ads.
Amazon didn't lose anything selling these devices. They made BILLIONS from selling our info the last number of years, to 3rd parties, and helped to spy on us, and it is really bad.
I still use my echo dots because it doesn't have sponsored ads on them with video stuff (since no screen).
It is up to YOU, do you want ADS or banners in your bedroom, or living room, selling you stuff, and being agressive about it. If you do, buy the echo show devices. Now, if they stop sponsored ads (forced ads that can not be removed... I'll turn my echo shows back on.)
At least I didn't throw the echo show against the wall, or take out my bat and keep hitting it. Smilie
Also, look at many youtubers that also HATE the crap Amazon has done on these devices.

Frustrated they got rid of the 3.5 ports My echo studios will have a long life even if I no longer want to use Amazon's smart features. Because they have all sorts of ports and they can be used as a wired sound bar or whatever all sorts of options. They seem to just completely got rid of most of the ports and all of these things.
