I know it can feel confusing when the T-Life app does not display a specific promotion, especially when you are expecting it to appear during the upgrade process. Even if the app does not show the R504 promotion on your end, the system still applies it automatically once the order is placed on an eligible line with an eligible trade in. The app is mainly a preview tool, and some offers do not appear visually there, but they are still active on the account.
The credits for that promotion begin appearing within 1 to 2 billing cycles after the order is processed and the trade in is received. Those who already got the deal and kept their plans are wrong. T-mobile's official master list of promotions [t-mobile.com] are wrong when they say "trade-in an eligible phone in any condition on any rate plan." Since we are all wrong, you can move on to the next deal.
