Ok your account number is just your GV phone number and your pin is your "call to listen" pin that you set up in the settings of GV. You first have to pay $3 to unlock the GV number.

Porting and failed attempts to order the phone. FYI if you go through the last step and Metro reserved the number you are porting in. But you failed, their payment screen and your order did not go through. Be advised that that number(s) that you attempted to port (no atter how many different phone numbers) are locked in Metro Port Reservation. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THAT NUMBER to process new order using that same # until you call Metro and ask to be transferred over to the porting department and ask them to delete the port. You will also not be able to port it anywhere else until they delete the port reservation. So, all you folks that tried to process a zillion orders after your initial order failed it will never work (even if you fix why your payment didn't go through) until YOU CALL METRO to fix your PORT. With all that said the port dept will want to verify you and the easiest way is for them to send you a SMS to your metro phone so your you don't have a Metro phone working well welcome to the struggle bus have a seat and relax your gong to be on the phone with Metro for some time. Please know this address multiple attempts at porting the same phone number not all the other reasons orders fail on the payment screen. All I can say on that one is , Don't use VPN, don't use discover, don't use a virtual number, wait 48 not 24 hours for your last order attempt to clear out of their system and if you are a religious person…pray

The short version, you must call Metro to make sure any/all the number(s) you are porting over that previously succeed Port Reservation but failed Payment are not locked now to metro reservation once locked to metro they will not work with a new order or another wireless company. This deal is killing me softly, now I remember why I avoided Metro for so long

For those of you having the fraud screen, do this -

Use a VPN
Different credit card #
Add a fake apartment # to your address (if you live in a house)

This has worked for me in the past.

Don't you have to have a first phone delivered to order a second one?
Yes, my first one was delivered Friday. The 2nd one shipped yesterday, so I was able to order the 3rd one today.

I think I made a mistake. I unlocked my GV number and placed Iphone 13 order on metro website for free phone. I didn't even recieve the phone yet but I deleted the GV number from my google voice account. would it be a problem during activation once I receive the phone?

Can you use a different number when you actually activate the phone?

What are the good choices beside Google Voice? I remember Google Voice will stop issuing phone numbers after the first one or two. I don't want to give up Google Voice. Thanks.

Thanks all for the tips in this thread.

One question - If I'm going the one month route, after I have received the devices and they are fully activated, do I need to manually login to my account(s) and "cancel" the service for each one (iPhone, g stylus 2025, Galaxy Tab, etc) or just ensure autopay is off so it doesn't auto renew?
You just need to make sure autopay is turned off so the service does not auto-renew. There's no need to manually cancel each device.

Thank you! What's your opinion on which one between the 2 is better ?
If you're not creating a new account with a different address, the cheaper option is better.

How do you activate it without the phone being in your hands?

And are you using the same Metro account and the same $55 plan for the 2nd, etc?

So if the area code is 917 then use a NYC zip code.
Yeah that worked for me - others earlier said to use the 940xx Zip. When I did that it didn't go thru.

No, you need to receive a text message on the number after activation in order to log in to your account.

He received his first iPhone 13 on Friday, and it seems that once he logs into that account, he can order the second and third iPhone 13 as well. Starting from the second one, the monthly fee drops to $30.

Will this work for new users? Or who brings in existing number from other providers?
