Ok your account number is just your GV phone number and your pin is your "call to listen" pin that you set up in the settings of GV. You first have to pay $3 to unlock the GV number.

Porting and failed attempts to order the phone. FYI if you go through the last step and Metro reserved the number you are porting in. But you failed, their payment screen and your order did not go through. Be advised that that number(s) that you attempted to port (no atter how many different phone numbers) are locked in Metro Port Reservation. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THAT NUMBER to process new order using that same # until you call Metro and ask to be transferred over to the porting department and ask them to delete the port. You will also not be able to port it anywhere else until they delete the port reservation. So, all you folks that tried to process a zillion orders after your initial order failed it will never work (even if you fix why your payment didn't go through) until YOU CALL METRO to fix your PORT. With all that said the port dept will want to verify you and the easiest way is for them to send you a SMS to your metro phone so your you don't have a Metro phone working well welcome to the struggle bus have a seat and relax your gong to be on the phone with Metro for some time. Please know this address multiple attempts at porting the same phone number not all the other reasons orders fail on the payment screen. All I can say on that one is , Don't use VPN, don't use discover, don't use a virtual number, wait 48 not 24 hours for your last order attempt to clear out of their system and if you are a religious person…pray

The short version, you must call Metro to make sure any/all the number(s) you are porting over that previously succeed Port Reservation but failed Payment are not locked now to metro reservation once locked to metro they will not work with a new order or another wireless company. This deal is killing me softly, now I remember why I avoided Metro for so long

For those of you having the fraud screen, do this -

Use a VPN
Different credit card #
Add a fake apartment # to your address (if you live in a house)

This has worked for me in the past.

I think Apple won't issue $180 trade in GCs for this phone once the 17e is released midweek. Also if $110-$55 if worth your time to go thru all the hassles with ordering thru Metropcs, then good for you
The iPhone 17e was released today. Here are the trade-in values offered in the form of Apple Gift Cards by Apple:
  • iPhone 13: $195
  • iPhone 16e: $310
You were right. Apple won't issue $180 trade-in gift cards for this phone once the 17e is released. They increased the trade-in value!

I have information don't need useless historical stats. You won't get $180 GC once 17e gets released Thursday.
Is this also included in your "information"?

Interesting, I will see if they also $195 for gift card only or only, it seems hit or miss. Some Apple agents seem to not care and give full amount, some will only give full amount when upgrading to new phone…

Can you still trade the 13 for a gift card, or only trade for a new phone?

Go to https://www.apple.com/shop/trade-in . Right now, for trading in an i13, you get $195 in Apple GC or $195 credit toward a new iPhone. Usually, you get less in GC than credit toward a new iPhone, but you can accumulate/use several GCs to reduce out-of-pocket money when buying an iPhone, but you can only trade-in ONE phone for credit toward buying an iPhone.

Does anyone know if the Google Voice number needs to be unlocked BEFORE ordering with Metro? Or can it be unlocked after ordering while activation of the phone after shipment? Thanks.

I think you can submit a locked GV number to see if it's eligible, but further into the ordering process the GV number must be unlocked for Metro to reserve the number before you get to submitting the order.

Thank you. Appreciate it. I had tried an unlocked GV number before and it gave the security error in the end. Thinking of using another GV number from a household member and then trying to order again. Perhaps Metro has blocked the GV number. I've tried different cards, VPN, wifi, cellular, but the order always fails at the last step.

Haven't been able to order even a single phone. Even though it's been 14-15 months since the last metro order and the address has also changed. So I thought maybe it's the number that is causing the issues.

Me: "445566"

Rep: "223344?"

Me: "No"

Rep: "You want upgrade?"

Me: "No. New phone, new line"

Getting a new GV number requires ID verification. I don't want to port out my GV number. Any other easy cheaper option for porting? Thanks

Unlock it before you input the number for porting. I forgot to do this, and it didn't work. I instantly remembered I needed to unlock, so I went and did that, but at that point I still couldn't redo it once I'd input it while locked. I called metro, they removed the hold on the number (I think that's how they phrased it), and told me to try again in four hours. When I tried again, it worked without a hitch.

First time trying for this round and have a tracfone number to port but it sounds like they are not working. Looking to use either Number Barn or Lyca Mobile.
Have seen fully completed ports from Lyca. Has anyone finished the porting process from a number barn number? What happens if you can't complete the port after you receive the phone? Do they charge you the $199? Can you return the phone? Thanks!

Looks like trade in values increased with the introduction of the 17e. $195 from Apple. I traded in 2 over the weekend, hard to predict that unfortunately. I am going to trade 2 today/tomorrow
