Fact is, most folks have little to no need for >1gigabit. Even as a tech guy I really don't saturate my gigabit connection very often - probably less than a few minutes total per month.. really not a whole heck of a lot to gain by going to 2.5GbE or higher.

I find it hilarious wannabe techie Dads waste their time and money on stuff they don't need. It's so easy to get cheap and good networking gear on the used market too nowadays if you don't mind used stuff. I would recommend checking that out. I found a 24 port PoE 1GbE switch for $20 on Facebook Marketplace. I was temped to buy it even though I didn't need it at the time. Guy was upgrading to 2.5GbE. I was like wtf do you need that for your basic a$$ house?? I mean in my head. I didn't say anything to him directly...

The repost you show does not contain the model number in the deal description; it would be helpful if people would include the model number in their deal posts to prevent repostings by others (in this case, me), especially since that post is by a staff member.
Note: "these switches can be managed only over an untagged port". Not sure if this is the root cause of my issue, but be aware in any case.
