I bought this and left it in the box too long... It was a set with a driver and a speaker. Anyway, the batteries actually leaked liquid that melted the plastic

Maybe for the tool only. This set comes up a battery and the charger (haven't seen a charger on sale, but not that big of a deal compared to the low tech charger Lowe's was selling

I bought a Skil 20v tool and the battery had liquid in the bag too. The liquid didn't react to baking powder. After reading online, sometimes there can be liquid on the battery.

On a side, acid doesn't burn through plastic. You must have had it in there for a long time for it to affect the plastic

Thanks OP. I've got the flip drill, impact, light and 5.25" saw from previous deals. Might as well snag this since I've already got a few batteries and the charger will be nice.

FYI if you ever find Denali brand (Amazon's house power tool brand) 20v batteries for a good price get them, they work perfectly with Skil 20v tools as the batteries are made by Skil.

I got mine for $9 at Lowe's and our bought 2 3Ah batteries on Amazon for $52. Slimmer grip than my 20V multitool kit I got at Home and Decor for $58 a bit louder than the 20V.

Skil 12v and 20v are awesome for home use and some professional also. If I started over I would've invest in Skil for my home and some Milwaukee for the job.

I scored bunch of Skil tools on bf at Lowe's and been giving them away as presents. I could've save a lot if I didn't go with the hype and buy all Milwaukee with 15 or so HO batteries.
