I tried many different versions of usb-c to 3.5mm adapters for MacBook Pro. This was by far one of the best in terms of high output and very low noise. I kept these and returned the others.

Got these for $2.09 a couple months ago via an SD post. No complaints. I just don't see another rando brand worth 6 bucks/full price.

The USB C port on Xbox controllers does not output audio.. unsure how you got to that line of thinking..

If you want to use a 3.5mm adapter for music with HiFi earbuds, you should get ones that have higher SNR, like those with a ALC5686 or CX31993 DAC (~$5-10). Cheaper adapters like these will have a noticeable hiss with low impedance IEMs.

I don't understand this question...you realize there is a headphone jack on the controller itself??

What I'd give for a more complete list of compatible phones. Guessing my Samsung A53 5G model isn't compatible. Seems to be only Samsung S series phones that support this kind of device.

I was just a/b to mention "noise" since I purchased the TIPSEAN USB C to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter (2 Pack) [amazon.com] this past Oct for the same price. Even though the audio output is acceptable compared a different adapter I purchased from Dell, the TIPSEANs do emit a slight bit of background noise in audio playback from what I've noticed.

Amazon and eBay have them for 15-20 sadly. Sony mx5 considered hifi or Samsung Galaxy pro / Klipsch 2.1 pro media or those don't need one?

Exact DAC chip, impedance and/or SNR are not even listed quite often...

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D5B6DWSS
Hi-Fi Sound Quality: Featuring an advanced DAC Smart Chip, this USB C to headphone adapter delivers high-definition audio and powerful noise reduction for a superior listening experience.

Only on the picture here:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B5D31N5V
I can see:
Conexant Smart DAC Chip
Built-in professional DAC chip, makes lossless and pure audio conversion
DAC: 24bit/96Khz
ADC: 24bit/48Khz
SNR: 10db FSA
THD+N: -85db FS

Does it mean it's cheap one? Confused

Does it overheat, or flimsy, as per reviews?
